OSBP Director, Emily Harman to Speak at NJIT’s PTAC’s Second Annual Conference on Contracting Opportunities for Small Businesses

Small businesses interested in doing business or enhancing current business relationships with the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) in Lakehurst, N.J., are encouraged to attend the Second Annual Small Business Industry Day, jointly sponsored by the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) at New Jersey Institute of Technology and the Lakehurst Small Business Roundtable. The free event will be held Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Ocean County Library, 101 Washington Street in Toms River, N.J.

Small-business attendees will learn about the scope of projected procurement opportunities in Services, Manufacturing and Maintenance (North American Industry Classification System Codes 541, 33 and 811, respectively). These contracting opportunities for services and hardware include aircraft launch and recovery equipment, common support equipment, peculiar support equipment, prototyping and manufacturing, services-type support contracts and small business innovation research and technology transfer.

Attendees also will have the chance to network with government representatives and other small-business companies, and hear from the conference’s keynote speakers: Shelby Butler, associate director, Naval Air Systems Command Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP); Dawn Chartier, deputy director, NAWCAD OSBP, Lakehurst, N.J.; and Emily Harman, director of OSBP, Department of the Navy.
